Ecology & Behaviour
The nominate subspecies is found in moist savannah, preferring areas with open woodland, and gallery forest (Spawls et al. 2002, 2018; Broadley 2003). It appears to be arboreal, is presumably nocturnal, and lays eggs (Spawls et al. 2002, 2018). Chameleons form an important part of the diet (Spawls et al. 2002, 2018). Dipsadoboa shrevei kageleri is known from an area of xeric savannah (Spawls et al. 2002), but nothing is known of its ecology.
