The eastern striped swamp snake (Limnophis bangweolicus) is a species of natricine snake found in Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, and Botswana.
Ecology & Behaviour
Associated with floodplains and wetland on the Zambezi, Okavango, and Congo River basins.
Diet
This species exclusively feeds on fish.
Conservation
This species is considered Least Concern because it is widespread and common with notable threats.
Distribtion & Habitat
This species is restricted to eastern Angola, southern Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, Zambezi strip of Namibia, into the Okavango Delta and Chobe in Botswana (Broadley 1971, Broadley and Blaylock 2013, Marques et al. 2018, Chippaux and Jackson 2019).
